Roses are some of my favourite flowers and with this painting I had the idea of creating something slightly surreal yet sensual. I'm sure each person will have it evoke different thoughts and emotions.
I built the painting up over many layers, starting with acrylic paint and completing with oil to add a lot of depth and fine detail.
