About this painting:
Housebound in 2020 and unable to go to the jungle... I decided to bring the jungle to me... 20 very large plants (that have taken over my studio) later...  and I'm forever inspired by foliage and love painting plants of all shapes and sizes which is how this painting came into being.  Wild Things was made in the post plant/jungle studio era, by applying a rich vibrant base layer of acrylic and then adding many thin layers of oil paint to give the leaves and flowers edgy depth and detail.
